چکیده

The Business Process Execution Language for Web Service (BPEL4WS) is a XML based standard for defining how to integrate Web Services to implement business processes. A BPEL4WS process is defined in terms of its interactions with partner. A partner may provide services to the process and also may require services from the process, or participate in two-way interaction with the process. This report focuses on the modeling of BPEL4WS. Two approaches of modeling BPEL4WS are analyzed. One is modeling BPEL using Unified Modeling Language (UML). The other one is using Collaxa BPEL Designer, which is a commercial product of Collaxa. At the end of this report, the two approaches are compared from various points of view, such as modeling tools, modeling detail level and converting model graphic diagram into BPEL codes. The advantages and disadvantages of two modeling approaches are analyzed also.

Fully-automatic Translation of Open Workflow Net Models into Simple Abstract BPEL Processes

On the one hand, Petri net models have a successful history in the modeling, simulation, and verification of workflows and business processes. On the other hand, BPEL is the de facto standard for describing and implementing Web service-based business processes. With abstract BPEL processes, BPEL can also be used as modeling language. However, being a complicated language with many syntactic con...

A model for specification, composition and verification of access control policies and its application to web services

Despite significant advances in the access control domain, requirements of new computational environments like web services still raise new challenges. Lack of appropriate method for specification of access control policies (ACPs), composition, verification and analysis of them have all made the access control in the composition of web services a complicated problem. In this paper, a new indepe...

Modeling Control Flow in WS-BPEL with Chu Spaces

This paper presents a Chu spaces semantics of typical control flow of WS-BPEL including fault handling and link semantics. BPEL-CF is proposed as a simplification of this subset of WS-BPEL. For the compositional modeling of BPEL, the authors present a Chu spaces process algebra. This algebra allows faults to be thrown at any point of execution and take link-based synchronization into considerat...

Title: Transforming Umm Business Collaboration Models to Bpel Transforming Umm Business Collaboration Models to Bpel

UN/CEFACT ́s Modeling Methodology (UMM) has been developed to analyze and design B2B business processes independent of the underlying exchange technology. It became the methodology of choice for developing ebXML business processes. Another technology for realizing B2B partnerships is Web Services. Currently, the business process execution languages (BPEL) seem to be the winner amongst the Web Se...
